چکیده
This study presents the free vibration analysis of a double tapered beam having linearly varying both thickness and width, by using finite element component mode synthesis methods. To determine natural frequency shape cracked beam, stiffness mass matrices have been obtained. The crack in is modeled as massless spring, divided into two subcomponents from section. spring has derived linear elastic fracture mechanics theory inverse compliance matrix calculated stress intensity factors strain energy release rate expressions. It observed that frequencies shapes vary depending on location crack, depth aspect ratios beam. results present those literature are compared great deal consistency found.

A Simple Finite Element Procedure for Free Vibration and Buckling Analysis of Cracked Beam-Like Structures
In this study, a novel and very simple finite element procedure is presented for free vibration and buckling analysis of slim beam-like structures damaged by edge cracks. A cracked region of a beam is modeled using a very short element with reduced second moment of area (I). For computing reduced I in a cracked region, the elementary theory of bending of beams and local flexibility approach are...
متن کاملA Note on Free Vibration of a Double-beam System with Nonlinear Elastic Inner Layer
In this note, small amplitude free vibration of a double-beam system in presence of inner layer nonlinearity is investigated. The nonlinearity is due to inner layer material and is not related to large amplitude vibration. At first, frequencies of a double-beam system with linear inner layer are studied and categorized as synchronous and asynchronous frequencies. It is revealed that the inner l...
متن کاملFree vibration analysis of non-uniform multi-cracked Euler–Bernoulli beam
This paper provides an exact approach for free transverse vibration analysis of a simply supported non-uniform Euler-Bernoulli beam with an arbitrary number of concentrated cracks. The equation of motion is normalized and written based on a set of dimensionless parameters. The general solution is obtained based on the Bessel functions. The differential equation is modified to include cracks. Th...

In this study, flapwise bending vibration analysis of a tapered Timoshenko beam mounted on the periphery of a rotating rigid hub is performed. The governing differential equations of motion for pure bending are derived using the Hamilton’s principle and solved using the Differential Transform Method, DTM. During the derivation of the equations, effects of rotary inertia, shear deformation and h...
